Chronic fatigue

oboseala cronica - skinmed clinic

By using ozone, we will adjust the biological mechanisms in the human body that have suffered from prolonged stress, inadequate diet and sleep deprivation.

Basically, during ten to twelve major ozone autohemotherapy sessions performed over a period of five to eight weeks, we fix your metabolism through antioxidant levels, we increase immune system activity by inducing a mild stress (a similar mechanism to action with the vaccine principle) and improve peripheral circulation and vital organ oxygenation.

The goal is that in a relatively short time, without affecting your daily activity, to increase your ability to tolerate stress, restore your ability to rest at night, clear your thoughts. In a word, make you feel more “full of energy”!

How Does  Ozone Therapy Work?

100-150ml of blood is harvested in a special sterile kit made in Germany. Then, ozone is introduced into the kit and the blood is thus enriched.

After that, the kit returns as an infusion, and the ozone blood enters the venous system back in the same way that it has gone out.

Everything takes place in a closed system, close to the patient, under maximum safety conditions. Major autoimmune therapy induces a slight oxidative stress on the body. As a reaction, the amount of antioxidants in the organism increases.

By direct effect of the ozone secondary messengers, it increases the release of oxygen from the erythrocyte, which leads to a better vascularization of the vital organs.

The brain, the liver, the heart feel an increased oxygen supply, counteracting the degeneration of the circulatory and respiratory system that comes with age.

Also, this release of oxygen into tissues also leads to a process of creating new blood vessels in the respective territories, which further reduces the loss in the vascular area due to aging.

Benefits of  better oxygenation include:

Back pains – natural treatment

dureri de spate - skinmed clinic

When back pain occurs (lumbar, dorsal or cervical), the most common cause most patients think is herniated disc. But that is not always the case.

Many times it is just serious muscle contractions, caused by an incorrect posture during the day.

In other cases, it happens that a scar left by a surgical intervention or by an accident, or even a dental problem, may give rise to disturbances in the functioning of the muscular-skeletal system (by altering the signal transmitted to the brain by the receptors in these areas).

All these are situations where a discopathy or spondylosis renders difficult the diagnosis, while the patient’s problem is simpler.

As a colleague neurosurgeon, who also practices ozonotherapy, once said:  "back pain + ozone = no pain".

Most commonly, cervical spondylitis enter this category when the severe contraction of upper and lower neck muscles causes the same symptoms as spondylosis (the contracture may be so severe that it may deform the normal position of the spine over time).

Ozone therapy specialists have been validating over the last 40 years a complementary method of treatment, whereby the quality of life of the patient increases significantly, and drug treatment effect it much quicker.

We talk about intramuscular infiltrations with ozone, parallel to the spine, in the area affected by hernia or spondylosis. Infiltrations with ozone are not painful!

Though it stings a little when injected, ozone has significant painkiller effects on nerve endings in the targeted area. To combat pain, the main mode of administration is the injection of tender points and trigger points.

These are bundles of muscle and nerve fibers that generate painful signals in specific areas. Sometimes the pain is generated around them, sometimes at a distance.

There are some painful / sensitive points that most people have, but they can also occur as a result of acute trauma or micro traumatism produced repeatedly over a long period of time.

Their isolation and ozone injection are the fastest and most effective way to get rid of pain.

Of course, in parallel, the cause that triggered their activation should also be treated, but the quality of the patient’s life no longer suffers.

Vulvar hyperpigmentation

hiperpigmentarea vulvara - skinmed clinic

Hyperpigmentation of the genital area is the darkening of the skin of the genital and peri-genital area (vulvar, perineal, perianal, inguinal and inner thighs).

It is caused by the genetic predisposition to hyperpigmentation (excess secretion of melanin, brown skin pigment), hormones, pregnancy, friction, area depilation, sun exposure, and aging.

Although there are available different types of genial area depigmentation procedures (depigmentation lotions, chemical peelings, IPL), the laser depigmentation is the most efficient, quicker and with permanent results.

In the Skinmed clinic we use for the genital area depigmentation a Femilift Pixel state of the art CO2 laser.

This type of laser generates fractioned laser emissions that, depending on the patient’s requirements, can penetrate and stimulate the skin for obtaining a lighter, younger, firmer, and more aesthetical skin.

The areas that can be treated are the vulvar, perineal (area between the vagina and anus), perianal, inguinal and inner thighs areas.

Before performing the procedure an initial medical exam with the dermatologist is carried out for evaluating the area to be treated and for identifying the potential cases representing “no go” for the procedure.

Based on the initial medical exam, the treatment plan is established - usually 3-4 sessions at 4-6 weeks for optimum results.

The procedure only requires local anesthesia in the form of lotion, does not require bed rest, the patient returns to his / her daily activities on the same day. The procedure lasts 30-45 minutes.

After the procedure, the doctor recommends some care products, no sexual intercourse for 3-5 days without exposure to the sun for 3 months and waxing is prohibited.

The depigmentation treatment can be combined in the same session with other gynecological aesthetic procedures: laser or combined (PRP or hyaluronic acid) rejuvenation for the vulvar area, vaginal rejuvenation, O-shot, G-spot augmentation.

Vaginal atrophy / dyspareunia

atrofia vaginala menopauza - skinmed clinic

What is Urogenital Menopausal Syndrome? When a woman advances in the premenopausal and menopausal period, the level of sex hormones, especially those of the estrogen type, decreases.

This decrease in estrogen hormones leads to significant changes in the genital area (vagina, vulva) and lower urinary system (bladder, urethra).

These changes affecting  over 50% of menopausal women include:

Genitourinary urinary menopausal syndrome is chronic and left untreated it accentuates. Although these symptoms do not threaten life, they can negatively impact self-confidence and couple life.

How is menopausal  genitourinary syndrome treated?

Symptomatic treatment:

non-hormonal or hormonal lubricants (with estrogen)

Hormonal treatment:

estrogens or estrogens and progesterone in the form of pills or transdermal patches

Laser treatment

Use a special CO2 laser that emits the laser beam in the form of smooth energy pixels.

This pixel energy applied to the tissues of the genital area penetrates and improves the quality of the mucosa or skin by stimulating the collagen and elastin synthesis process and by increasing the vasculaturization.

Treated tissues will be firmer, more elastic, more resistant.

This remodeling process increases the elasticity and lubrication of the genital mucosa resulting in the disappearance / improvement of spontaneous discomfort or the discomfort felt during sexual intercourse. By reshaping the vaginal wall, vaginal rejuvenation improves mild / moderate urinary incontinence.

Studies show that by increasing the quality of the vaginal mucosa and stimulating local immune processes, vaginal rejuvenation has a positive role including for chronic vaginosis and HPV infection.

The laser can also be used for the treatment of vaginal intrusion (vaginal opening) and vulvar area (large labia, small labia, clitoris) for treatment of sclerosis lichenis, laxity of tissues, mucosal atrophy, genital mucous dryness.

Urinary incontinence in women

incontinenta urinara - skinmed clinic
Urinary incontinence is involuntary loss of urine. Depending on the patho-physiological mechanism causing urinary incontinence is divided into:

The most common is urinary incontinence due to stress and is estimated to affect over 40% of women, the incidence rising with the age.

It negatively affects the quality of life both physically, socially, economically and psychologically.

Factors that aggravate urinary incontinence are: age, pregnancy, natural birth, obesity, pelvic trauma, constipation, chronic disease (diabetes), gynecological and pelvic surgical history.

How is urinary  incontinence treated?

Pelvic physiotherapy

Surgical treatment

Laser treatment

Using a special Femilift CO2 laser that emits the laser beam in the form of smooth pixels.

The treatment is carried out with a cylindrical laser probe, imitating the shape of the vagina, which is inserted inside and transmits in a safe and efficient way the pixel energy.

Thus, the remodeling treatment of the basal layers of the vaginal mucosa begins by stimulating the synthesis of collagen and elastin. This remodeling process leads to the narrowing of the vaginal channel and the increase of the vaginal wall tone.

Vaginal wall remodeling means better support for the urethra which results in relief of mild / moderate incontinence.

4-6 treatment sessions are needed, with sessions taking place every 4 weeks. The procedure is not painful, does not require hospitalization or bed rest.

Hair removal / laser hair removal

epilarea laser - skinmed clinic

Both normal, physiological and excess hair (medically called hypertrichosis), or that occurring in anatomical areas normally lacking hair when it comes to women (called hirsutism), are indications for laser hair removal.

Hypertrichosis and hirsutism are conditions associated with endocrine syndromes in which we experience hyperandrogenism, and such conditions require a multidisciplinary approach (dermatologist, endocrinologist) for the correction of the underlying disease that resulted in hypertrichosis or hirsutism, the treatment indication being laser hair removal for all such cases.

The Platinum soprano laser from Alma Lasers, one of the world’s largest medical laser reseller, has numerous clinical trials that show a very high efficacy (95-98%) with irreversible destruction of hair and a high safety profile against burning risk, which allows them to be used even in the case of light-tone hair and tanned skin at any time of the year, including summer.

The results of laser hair removal are remarkable, being visible from the first session. On average, 6 to 10 sessions, spaced every 4 weeks in the case of small areas (facial, axial, arm) and 8 weeks for the lower limb area, are required.

Any person, regardless of skin type and hair color, can benefit from this extremely valuable technique for permanently reducing hairiness. It is dedicated to both women and men!

It is a painless procedure with built-in cooling, and Alma has incorporated into this device a patented SHR (Super Hair Removal) technique, based on which the total amount of energy is delivered to the moving surface unit, so cooling can be achieved efficiently and the session duration is reduced to half, compared to previous technologies.

Soprano Platinum is the most complete and effective hair removal solution known so far, and if until recently the light-tone hair and tanned skin were two of the most known limitations when it came to definitive hair removal, this new technology succeeds in making them unrivaled advantages.

Soprano Ice removes, without any problem, the blond and thin hair and the sessions can be performed regardless of the season, with results uninfluenced by the tanned skin we all enjoy so much.

The hair removal session can be carried out during summer, including on tanned skin!

Dark eye circles

cearcanele - skinmed clinic

The dark eye circles have the unsuspected power to communicate for us behind the layers of blush and makeup, because we can hide their color, but not the depth.

Now the dark circles can be corrected by treatments chosen according to their type and cause, the effect at the entire face level being visible and impressive.

The area of the inferior eyelid is extremely complex, with a great variety of aspects, often associated.

We may encounter problems such as the visible lachrymal trench, the ideal candidate for hyaluronic acid volumization dedicated to this area, or the pigmentation, the brownish-black, often constitutional color.

A common problem are the fine wrinkles, at the external angle of the eye, corrected by botulinum toxin injection, unlike those of the lower eyelid that are quite difficult to wipe out by conventional techniques.

Two other common problems are the visible bags, often occurred in associated conditions or constitutional and the excess of the upper and / or lower eyelids, which turn the patient into the ideal candidate for blepharoplasty, the eyelid surgery.

The treatment of this area involves an experienced examination of the most effective treatment methods, this being the most complex and difficult area to correct because problems are often associated (e.g. hyperpigmentation, fine lines and visible lachrymal trench).

Nowadays, in the era of advanced technology, we have a range of laser treatments that help us approach both fine lines and laxity, pigmentation and even the visible lachrymal trench can be corrected with these treatments.

At SkinMed Clinic, we combine state-of-the-art science and technology to erase the traces that stress factors leave on our face, deepening them over time and turning us into a rival closed inside our own skin.

Unlike other laser therapies, the principle is shock waves, adapting focal length and action in the deep layers of our skin, deep epidermis and / or dermis, maintaining the superficial layer of the skin unaffected.

Thus, there is no recovery period, although the skin can turn slightly red for a couple of minutes; the procedure can be done during the lunch break.

Lip augmentation

augmentarea buzelor - skinmed clinic

Lip augmentation is one of the most requested procedures of medical aesthetics. The lips, part of the center of the face, are a key element of femininity and sensuality.

We express ourselves verbally and non-verbally using this extremely important structure. From an anatomical / structural point of view it is extremely complex, complies with a set of rules related to subcomponents and proportions, and the key word defining this area is the balance.

It is subdivided into several structures (the upper tubercle of the upper lip, two lower lip tubercles, Cupid’s bow, philtrum, contour) and respects anatomical proportions.

A correct volumization to correct the defects or just for adding an extra volume should follow precise technical rules and should be carried out by qualified physicians, trained to this end, as what we want to achieve at the end are naturally-looking lips to complete the notion of beauty.

It is a technique of great value when choosing the best quality hyaluronic acid without being associated with the risk of side effects such as allergies or the appearance of nodules, still occurring in the case of certain types of used substances.
One of the most severe complications is the risk of necrosis (tegumentary death) that may occur in this area if the injection was made intravascularly, or if a large amount of hyaluronic acid was injected, which compressed the vessel or if there has been injected a highly dense hyaluronic acid not adapted to this area.

That is why the experience of the injector  and the quality of the substance are defining.

Injection has immediate effect, without significant edema, the end effect being predictable, injection may be performed with the help of a needle or a canula, the risk of bleeding being lower, as it does not injure vascular structures, depending on the injector experience.

Thus, the patient can continue his / her daily routine without the need for post-procedure recovery. Reinjection is indicated every 6 months or 1 year.

In Skinmed Clinic, we are committed to the idea of beauty as 'balance', 'proportions', 'natural', our team using the most advanced medical solutions as tools for helping, repairing, and not for unbalancing.

Because the ultimate goal is to be the best version of you in your skin, and not the best version of someone else.

That is why the dialogue is necessary as well as the critical eye of the specialist physician, who will analyze your features, the facial form and shall suggest the optimal solution for augmenting the lips, so that the reaction of the others will be “I did not even imagine your lips are not natural!

Dry skin

pielea uscata - skinmed clinic

Dry skin (cutaneous xerosis) is often associated with poor care, seasonal variations or external influences, rarely a dermatological condition, often atopy.

Everyone has gone through episodes of exaggerated dryness of the skin as a result of exposure to sunlight or inappropriate care.

However, there are also dermatological conditions manifested by this symptomatology (atopy, dermatitis, psoriasis, ichthyosis, etc.) and a specialized diagnosis with correct treatment is needed. Skin dryness can range from mild, dehydrated skin and unpleasant feeling of constriction to severe forms of cracked, flaky, reddened skin (eczema) and itching (pruritus) sensation.

Skin dryness is more pronounced at the extremities (hands, calves, legs, lips) and age extremes (children and the elderly)

The first steps to take for fighting the skin dryness  are the general measures:

In addition to these general recommendations, there are aesthetic dermatology procedures that can help the skin of the face, neck and cleavage to be more hydrated.

Dermatologists use chemical peeling combinations, mesotherapy (moisturizing, skin restructuring), hyaluronic acid hydration and microdermabrasion to produce a more elastic and more hydrated skin for longer periods.

Skin lesions

leziunile cutanate - skinmed clinic
Skin lesions are a complete spectrum that should be diagnosed by a dermatologist specialist for proper healing treatment. Generally speaking, we refer to simple, mostly benign and sometimes malignant injuries.

In order of their frequency,  the most common skin lesions are:

1 Viral Papilloma, skin rashes due to a viral infection with certain strains of HPV (the Human Papillomavirus Family) that specifically affect friction areas (cervical, axillary, submammary). During their evolution, they will multiply excessively, they can become pigmented, and when interfered with they can bleed.

Therapeutically speaking, it is extremely easy to treat them with the help of ablative (destructive) laser treatments that do not require significant restrictions, epithelization being spontaneously with the assistance of superinfection without residual signs (scars).

2 Angiomas, small red or red-violet lesions, sometimes present in large numbers all over the skin. Most often they have a genetic component, but can be found in excess estrogen hormones, by increased intake, hormonal dysfunction or metabolic defect. These are treated by laser therapy with the vascular beam, shutting it out immediately, being a non-painful process.

3Vulgar / flat warts are brown, flat, brown, benign, superficial, hyperkeratosis lesions due to the superficial layer proliferation in viral infection with certain strains of HPV. They are completely curable by laser treatment, by epithelialization without residual signs. These lesions should be treated as close as possible to the moment of occurrence due to the risk of their spreading, considering that during their development they increase, pigment, can be traumatized with bleeding and inflammation.

4Solar lentigo / Actinic keratosis / Seborrheic warts are benign skin lesions that appear in areas overexposed to ultraviolet radiation, especially on the facial area, but also on the posterior thorax or on the back of the hands. At onset they look like brown-pale spots, which thicken in evolution, become harsh and , in time, proliferate. A dermatological diagnosis, with dermatoscopic examination, is required to clearly confirm them, these lesions being curable by ablative laser therapy (destruction), healing without residual traces.

5Dermal nevi are benign diseases due to melanocytic proliferation in the dermal layer of the skin, are clinically proliferative lesions, in relief, skin color, melanogenic, some are brown, and dermatoscopy is the one that establishes the benign character of these lesions, which can be treated with ablative laser (destruction).
